I’m Ananya, an Australian actor of mixed Indian heritage. From a young age, I was drawn to performance through dance, drama, and debating, and that early curiosity led me to audition for the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

I relocated to New York during the pandemic to complete the Academy’s intensive conservatory program, training across classical theatre, film, and television.

I portrayed Mina Harker in a modern adaptation of Dracula as part of the Academy’s graduation series. Michael Toomey, was our director and he had a unique process which involved play, spontaneity, and creative risk.

After graduating, I performed in Off-Broadway productions while working at The Tank NYC, an independent theatre company that promotes original work and supports emerging artists.

Now based in Australia, I continue to pursue screen work. My most recent credit is Burke in the film The Christmas Singer.
